Chipless Inkjet Printing: Cheaper and Greener
Our business-class inkjet printers are set up differently from the printer on your desk: they run chipless, refillable ink tanks instead of disposable chipped cartridges. That means less plastic waste per page — and a lower cost per page, which we pass on to you.
What is chipless inkjet printing?
Consumer inkjet cartridges carry microchips that declare the cartridge empty long before the ink runs out, and they’re built to be thrown away. Our printers use chipless, refillable tanks instead:
- Reusable tanks and cartridges that stay in service instead of going to landfill
- Ink bought in bulk and refilled — not a new plastic cartridge every few hundred pages
- Business-class printers built for high volume, so they last far longer than consumer models
The result is a printing setup with far less plastic and e-waste per page, and a running cost that supports our low prices.
Certified paper, simple choices
Every economy inkjet job prints on 70–80gsm certified copy paper. Certification means the fibre is sourced through independently verified forest-management standards. When a document needs heavier, coated stock, our laser press handles it — so premium paper is only used where it matters.
An environmentally friendly printer, at scale
A single business-class printer running at high utilisation produces far less waste per page than hundreds of home printers each using disposable cartridges and sitting idle most of the week. By centralising document printing, we spread the printer’s manufacturing footprint, consumables and energy use across far more pages — and reduce the e-waste from entry-level printers that are cheaper to replace than repair.

Frequently asked questions
What is chipless inkjet printing? It’s inkjet printing with refillable tanks instead of chipped, disposable cartridges. The printer and tanks stay in service, so you replace ink — not plastic.
Is inkjet printing cheaper than laser printing? For text-based documents, yes — the economy inkjet service is our lowest-cost option. The laser press costs more per side because it prints on heavier coated stock with commercial-grade quality.
What paper do you print on? Economy inkjet jobs print on 70–80gsm certified copy paper. The laser press uses coated and digital stocks from 120–250gsm. Ask us for the certification details of the current stock.
Can I reduce my own printing footprint? Print double-sided, and consolidate documents into one order — both lower the paper, weight and cost per page.
Is the inkjet service right for every job? No — it’s built for text-based documents. For presentations and marketing, choose laser.

To offer a competitive pricing to save you money on printing, we use business class inkjet printer to fulfill your order, which provides a lower cost option for your documents, but it is NOT suitable for commercial purposes on presentation and marketing. - Printing with 70gsm or 80gsm copy paper only.
- Your price will be calculated by total page counts of all files in the order. All price includes GST.
- Average coverage of your print order must be under 30% (High coverage is not printable by copy paper. Most orders never close to 30% average coverage.). Rights are reserved to reject order that is not appropriate to process with our solution.

Staple Binding
Staple binding is free for your first 30 booklets; after that a per-booklet fee applies. Max holding sheets per booklet is 100 sheets (200 pages for double sided print). By default, staple binding will apply to your order by files. If you require no binding, please leave a comment in “Order Message” field during checkout.
Comb Binding
Comb binding comes with front and back plastic covers, from $3 per booklet depending on thickness — current prices are in the table above. Please leave a comment in the “Order Message” field during checkout and we’ll include it in your quote.
Delivery and Pickup
We deliver anywhere in Australia. Melbourne Metro delivery is free on print orders over $40, or $5 if your order is under $40. Outside Metro, shipping is rebated against your order total.
